2022 ends with annual awards evening for staff who excel in their role

In the final working week before Christmas, staff from our 3 sister companies congregated in Moody’s cross-deck facility to discover who would be presented with awards for their contributions to the businesses.

It was great, after the previous years of socially distanced gatherings, having everybody standing together as they listened to MD Caroline kick-off proceedings with an overview of a big year for all three businesses including Moody’s 75th anniversary and huge £1m investment in the fleet, Heathline Commercials continuing to strengthen its regional dominance in truck service and repairs, and MCR Services expanding its services to include returns centre solutions.

Caroline presented Dean Dodd with the Driver of the Year award.

Dean was our first driver apprentice who started with Moody’s back in 2015, and made a big impact within his first few years as he moved to a Class 1 driver position and was voted Driver of Year shortly afterwards. This year Dean was voted for by his peers and recognised by the directors as Driver of the Year after he hit all criteria including accident-free and nil tacho errors, and does his job to the best of his ability.

Our Employee of the Year award went to Andrea Ranyard, PA to the Directors and HR Manager.

Andrea has only been with the business since August 2021, but has slotted in to the team seamlessly with her bubbly personality. Andrea was recognised by the directors for her ‘can-do’ attitude and the support she has provided the directors during 2022, from HR issues to taking on IT projects and helping implement new systems.

Pam Dent, Credit Control and Banking Coordinator, was presented with a long service award to recognise her 20 years’ service to the company, and Scott Edgar our Delivery Logistics Planner was given his 15 year long service award.

Other awards on the night recognised staff for 100% attendance, and drivers presented with awards after achieving nil tacho errors and being accident free.
