Moody’s is a family owned and operated transport, warehousing and logistics company, based in Cramlington who have been in business for over 75 years. Growth and looking after our customers is key to our continued success and we are now looking for our next Apprentice Class C Driver to join our busy, successful, award winning team.

 

About the role:

 

Over 6 – 12 months you will be working towards becoming a fully fledged member of our growing driver team through work shadowing, time in our warehouse department, and hands-on experience delivering to our customers in our transit van whilst learning the job. 

 

You will be responsible for collecting and delivering to our customers across the North East and Northumberland, whilst ensuring a professional service throughout.

 

You will learn about the regulations surrounding drivers hours, tachographs and working time legislation.

We are looking for a determined individual with a 'can-do' attitude, whilst going above and beyond to our customers. 

 

An excellent team player is a must as the ability to communicate effectively with your colleagues will be an important part of your role

 

You should be able to complete paperwork and use smart phone technology.

 

Drive and ambition with the enthusiasm to learn new skills.

 

What you will need:

 

A full UK/EU license with a 0 points in the last 2 years

 

What we offer:

 

We will work with you to achieve your restricted counterbalance forklift licence and achieve your full Cat C licence including theory DCPC and practical test.

 

Hours of work are minimum 40 hours per week, with overtime as required. The company operates a Saturday standby rota. Average hours will be between 8am till 6pm Monday to Friday. 

 

The successful candidate will receive an hourly rate of pay of £9.50 whilst in training. Once complete this will be at standard drivers hourly wage. The Company also offers pension scheme, profit share and health scheme after your probationary period. A uniform will be provided. 

 

Once a job offer has been made, you will be expected to get an LGV medical report (D4) and to have your HGV Provisional before a start date is provided.
